I remember calculating based on my net pay (and I'm paid a decent middle class wage IMHO) that I got the equivalent of 4 Mickey D's Happy Meals a month(I'm paid twice monthly) and I'd still be short the Diet Coke. I wrote a letter to the editor that appeared in USA Today and my local paper that I'd rather the Feds had kept the tax cuts to make sure Social Security was solvent or for a future national emergency using the Happy Meals analogy. Had the enjoyment of local RW radio idiot scoffing at my letter and my not wanting the tax cut.
So now why the hell the scoffing by the RW pundits that most taxpayers will get the equivalent of $13 a week extra in their pay. Hell that's the equivalent of 2 steak dinners a month for me. Beats the Happy Meals by a longshot. I never heard the damn media cover what a measly few bucks the Bush 2000 tax cut gave the majority of taxpayers.

2. They will never see any good in anything the President does |

unless it benefits the wealthiest among us. If he starts another war and starts chanting USA! they might like him a little bit more.
