Stimulus Infrastructure Funding Short-Changes States with High Unemployment

The money in the stimulus bill slated for transportation and infrastructure is likely to be one of the stimulus' biggest job-generators. But we found that states with high unemployment are actually getting less money per-capita or even per unemployed worker than states with low unemployment.

1. Interesting, anyone else have a problem with their conclusion?

There are some weird distribution things there, but to flat out say that states with the highest unemployment received the least infrastructure $$ is an erroneous conclusion. They may or my not have received the least $$ per unemployed worker, but that's different.
The most populated states received the most funding.
The least populated ones received the least funding.

3. Excellent! I know the (much smaller) housing bill will have a way of targeting more

affected communities...

I wonder how the money got divided up for the ARRA though?
I'll have to ask him ;-)
