Can you imagine McCain doing this?
I mean, really, addressing the economy, the housing crisis, wars, detainees...all in the first month.

Things are obviously not fixed, but it's nice to know that the leadership is actually looking at the problems instead of ignoring them (or exascerbating them).

I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but watching this administration gives me confidence that the people who are supposed to be working on our problems actually are.

We all know McCain would never be doing this...

1. When I was waking up this morning.....
.... because my brain is consumed with all things politics ... lol .... I realized that even IF McCain had won (I know, funny, but anything can happen) Barack would STILL be in the Senate.

I took a great deal of comfort in that.

By the way, you posted earlier that you wanted to know who gave you the two hearts...one of them was me. I felt bad when some people had tons of hearts and others had none. Plus, your journal rocks.

7. Not at all!
He would tell everyone to pull themselves up by their boot straps. Then he would cut the wealthiest people's taxes and go on vacation to one of his homes.

The media would kiss his ass and tell everybody to give him a break because he inherited this mess.

13. He would hold press conferences and chant endessly, "My friends, I know how to fix this. I know what
it takes to fix this."

And then offer ZERO specifics or details.....resulting in huge tax cuts for the rich and a Secretary of Treasury Phil Gramm who would weekly appear before Congress and blame the horrible economy on a nation of "whiners."
