I'm just trying to figure out how a country that "approves" of President Obama by a margin of four to one managed to elect themselves a prime minister that by all accounts is as RW as Bush.

but, it was not total, harper did not get a majority government even after trying twice for a majority. He is on a "leash", limiting what he can do under threat of defeat by the opposition.
