Federal Judge takes senior status making 63 vacant federal judges for Obama to appoint (0 so far)
Edited on Wed Feb-18-09 10:48 PM by usregimechange
Judge Clarence Cooper took senior status on 02/09/2009. He was a U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia, a Clinton appointee.

This makes 63 = Current vacancies in the 871 member federal judiciary, including 15 US appeals court judgeships. Obama is yet to make any appointments but the vacancies are growing.

We need to be realistic he is one man trying to stave off the next Depression.

2. Can't expect judges to be named until the Senate gets around to confirming
his Deputy AGs and the Solicitor General.
