3. No. Because Barnacle doesn't approve? Please. Maybe he should
be more responsible and select guests who are not racist and who can carry on an intelligent conversation.

4. I would think not.
I don't believe one as smart as President Obama would select a person for AG with an IQ of 69 or less.

Kind of a goofy question you're asking.

5. flame bait
pure flame bait.

There should be some requirement to at least make a vague point, along with at least one fact, in any thread.

7. Nah.
But given the penchant for silliness in this country, it isn't surprising that he'd cause a stir with his comments yesterday. Incredibly tedious, but not surprising. :eyes:

9. saying people are cowards.
Edited on Thu Feb-19-09 06:10 PM by RandomThoughts
And saying people need to have courage.

Are not the same things. I think he had a good idea, but could have said it better. He ended up a little bit less then respectful, instead of encouraging. But we all say things a bit off at times.

But his point is true in many respects, many times people forget how courages people can be. They also forget how courages they themselves can be. He does remind us of this. This is important for many reasons, first peace and diplomacy requires more courage then war. Politely defusing another's anger takes more courage then just joining in with a hay maker.

Also giving up freedom leads to bad things, and living in an imperfectly secure world requires courage.

And on the topic of race, facing our own biases takes alot of courage, knowing that the tough self examinations of ones own thoughts can actually lead to a better view and a better life.

Edit:
Thinking on this a little more, he may have been being blunt to make the point, being unable to say if his statement is better or worse then my thought on it, makes it interesting for sure. It may be what was needed to start the conversation or get people to actually think about it.

13. Time will tell
The National Review posed the question:

Will Holder be Obama's Andrew Young? Normally, I discount (or ignore) anything coming from that rag- but in this case one has to wonder.

17. Not even.
Anyone who thinks there is not racism in this County is not dealing in reality.

It needed to be said. What good it may do, I do not know. But I respect him for speaking the truth. You certainly will not hear it from the MSM.

It's too progressive for you.

I seem to remember a thread of yours from a few days ago where you were also dissing White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs.

Just what do you like Unsane? I think we know, but you can always come back and tell us yourself.
