So Repuglikins think President Obama is being too much of a downer?
Perhaps he should say these hard times will be over in "six days, maybe six weeks, I doubt six months."

Sure, that's the ticket. And then he can explain that he has to "catapult the propaganda."

And if that doesn't work he can then add, "The fundamentals of our economy are strong."

1. So does Bill Clinton.
He's not helping, is he. I think Obama is doing just fine without this unwarranted advice myself.

Bill Clinton wants Obama to sound more hopeful

2. Yeah I saw that.
Ain't it funny how advice is always worth what is costs?

4. And, where was Bill Clinton
the last 8 years when bush was fucking up? I saw how Bill's "helping out" did Hillary in during the primaries. Obama doesn't need his advice or the repods'.

14. If he hadn't give Obama a grade of A I'd be pissed, but he did so I'm not.

"I like the fact that he didn't come in and give us a bunch of happy talk."

See? Bubba agrees with you.

Complain about something else.

3. Obama just needs to be honest with the American people. If the news is that things are bad
Edited on Fri Feb-20-09 08:08 PM by Triana
then things are bad (THANKS TO THE REPUBLICANS WHO WOULD RATHER HE LIED TO PEOPLE LIKE THEY DO).

You know, the world economy is in the shitter thanks to America, Wall Street and the gov't/corprat plutocracy here and the last 8-80 years of REPUBLICAN f*ck-ups, deregulation, criminal activity, greed, waste, dishonesty, and plain class warfare and corprat welfare.

F*CK being a goddamned Pollyanna. We need the TRUTH. I hope Obama doesn't start with Republican "catapult the propaganda Pollyanna" talk now just because Clinton and a couple other people think he should.

I hope he's wiser than that.

5. The people complaining are CLEARLY not watching his speeches....
... I love you Bill .... and your remarks were taken out of context ... but you aren't watching his full speeches either. Yes, Barack will talk about how tough times will be, BUT HE ALWAYS finises on an upbeat note. How we WILL overcome this as long as we do it TOGETHER.

Every ..... single ..... time. And he's been doing this for months now.

15. Yeah he has to be practical, but he could try a bit more to have banter with the press that helps>

for people to connect to him. Also a few human intrest stories or anecdotes in his addresses to make him appear more warm. Although other than that he's doing an astounding job.
