New CBS VP: "Obama is Incredibly Dangerous"
Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 03:39 PM by TeamJordan23
CBS News Pick Claimed Democrats are Bad People

Today, I learned that CBS News named Jeff Ballabon, a New York Republican activist, to serve as the Senior Vice President of Communications.

What is CBS thinking? This guy is very far out there with his partisan rhetoric.

A decade ago, I debated Ballabon in New York. I represented the Democratic Jewish community while he spoke on behalf of Republican Jews. During the debate, Ballabon claimed that, after his most recent job in Washington, he became convinced that Democrats are inherently bad people and Republicans are fundamentally good people.

What planet does this guy come from? It's astonishing that CBS News would name Ballabon to its senior management.

In fact, it is not atypical of Ballabon to use this kind of extreme partisan rhetoric. During the 2008 election, Ballabon said, "Obama is incredibly dangerous."

During the 2004 elections, JTA reported, "AIPAC has touted this election as a 'win-win' proposition, noting Bush's strong support for Israel and Kerry's 100 percent pro-Israel voting record in the Senate." In response, Ballabon wrote, "Bush and Kerry 'win-win?' Republicans and Democrats indistinguishable? It would be funny if Jews weren't being killed."

Ironically, Ballabon told JTA, following his new CBS News appointment, that he "always worked well with Democrats and Republicans."

The website of the Ballabon Group, where Ballabon serves as President, quotes a satisfied client saying, "When Jeff Ballabon tells you he can do something, consider it done."

Maybe Ballabon can get "it done," but perhaps CBS News can get "it done" more effectively by paying more attention when vetting its senior executives.

3. Sure, these people will tell you:
Liberals dominate the media. This has been announced by Rush Limbaugh. And Thomas Sowell. And Ann Coulter. And Rich Lowry. Bill O’Reilly. And Robert Novak. And George Will.

And John Gibson. And Michelle Malkin. And David Brooks. And Tony Snow. And Tony Blankely. And Fred Barnes. And Britt Hume. And Larry Kudlow. And Sean Hannity. And David Horowitz. And William Kristol. And Hugh Hewitt. And William Buckley.

And Oliver North. And Joe Scarborough. And Pat Buchanan. And John McLaughlin. And Cal Thomas. And Joe Klein. And James Kilpatrick. And Tucker Carlson. And Deroy Murdock. And Michael Savage. And Charles Krauthammer. And Stephen Moore. And Alan Keyes.

And Gary Bauer. And Mort Kondracke. And Andrew Sullivan. And Nicholas von Hoffman. And Neil Cavuto. And Matt Drudge. And Mike Rosen. And Dave Kopel. And John Caldara. And Deborah Howell. And Richard Morin. And John Harris. And Gordon Liddy. And Laura Ingraham. And Glen Beck. And Lou Dobbs.

And Larry Elder. And Tammy Bruce. And Neal Boortz. And FOX DJ ManPal. And Rusty Humphrey. And Bernard Goldberg. And Newt Gingrich. And Mark Levin. And Noel Shepard. And Mike Huckabee. And Laura Schlessinger.

I guess it must really be true...

12. The ones who make the decisions and have ownership of the media are chiefly righties.
Most of the workers are more liberal-minded. There isn't a lot of money in media, unless you're a professional asshole like coulter & O'Reilly, or you get a good gig like Olbermann.

Mostly the media owners want the assholes like Glen Beck, Limbaugh, Kraphammer, G Will, Liddy, etc...and they pay them top dollar for their VERY SOULS!!! BWa-haha!!!

4. Given the people of this country clearly favor liberal/democratic ideology
candidates and themes. We have outrightly rejected the republican politics of war and corruption, and the American public respects and views television particularly news programming less, what brings CBS to hire someone to a key communications position who espouses a completely counter position than that of their audience?

5. This senior VP of Communications..
is a high-level executive, which signals that the mucky mucks at CBS are as well.

This is the guy who would handle crisis communications if anything went wrong at CBS, and he
manages the image of CBS.

Although he's not driving any editorial content or journalism--the fact that CBS would allow
such a public Dem hater into their upper echelons, means that the views of CBS corporate
is very evident, if it wasn't before.

It's obvious that CBS is playing the same game as other media outlets. Stack the deck with
right-wingers and throw in a few centrists who appear "left" compared to the conservatives
on their payroll. This gives the appearance of "balanced" news, when it's clearly not.

It should be clear now, that the top brass at CBS are a bunch of rabid, right-wing lunatics
who aren't hiding their bias any more--and they could care less if we know who and what
they are.

16. No, he was the president of Imaginary NBC
on a few episodes of Seinfeld. In the end, he became an all-out radical activist for Greenpeace in an effort to impress Elaine.
