MY country is FULL of MORONS. We don't deserver Obama
we're the fuckers who continue to tune into cable news and listen to right wing radio and say the evils of our time are public education and assistance to the elderly.

I don't know if a person can exactly trace the point at which our country has gone from good to bad, but it is HORRIBLE seeing the nonstop attacks against a new president facing tougher challenges than just about any president who took office.

What can we do to SHUT THESE KNOW-NOTHING GODFORSAKEN PIECE OF SHIT DOWN???!!!

Calling for coups against the government? Daily screeds trying to blame Obama for the slide of the stock market? We are no longer a country of patriots. Just spoiled consumers who want to be entertained and fed.

Disgusting.

1. I feel the same way. I'm grateful that despite
the abundance of spoiled and ignorant people in this country that I will get a chance to see what Obama can do. When his term ends, I fear things are only going to get worse. I can't see this country lasting much longer unless the people become committed to a higher level of discourse.

3. You are so right. Today I watched court tv and then took my
ass to the gym. I cannot stand to even listen to the bullshit being spewed. 35 days into a mess and they are all over the President. Makes me sick!

4. I've been feeling this way since this country re-elected Bush 4 years ago. I just don't get it.
I also think Obama is so beyond some people, not only can they not see past his race or party, but they just can't wrap their tiny pea sized brains around his very forward thinking. They don't get him and i like so many things people don't understand they opt to Fear it.

How weird is that? We don't fucking deserve President Obama. Other countries would LOVE to have someone like him represent them, but the MSM demeans him, the Republicans degrade him and we do nothing. I've stopped watching that shit. Fuck the MSM. Fuck their papers, and fuck their corporate sponsors. That being said, and to kind of go in the opposite direction, I think we should all send our most positive thoughts to our President (I know, I know, after my expletive-laced rant that kind of sounds silly).

BTW, the Republics are fucking toxic waste, and they're trying to pollute this entire country. No terrorists that ever lived have even begun to do as much harm to this country as they are doing right now. They are Nazi's, but they'll commit their atrocities and kill their 6 million over a longer period of time. IF we let them.

11. yes, but some here think holding his feet to the fire is productive
1 month in. This guy is already engaged in BIG ACTIONS with FAR REACHING effects that have our stamp of approval. We see that he truly is a community organizer and is trying to do just that on a national and perhaps international level.

But I know that Obama has seen this before. He saw the power base of the black church in Chicago. He saw the powerful city government structures that tried to do nothing for the poor neighbors he was helping. Those people wanted to stop his progress, and he had far less power then than he does now.

I'm saying, why try to squeeze him between the sniping of small issues on the right with the sniping of small issues on the left? How about instead saying, "WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING to make this country work just a little bit better?"

14. not saying people shouldn't lobby him. but go do that, then
I just can't stand the tired rants against a brand new president who actually has a chance to enact policy we all believe in.

In this instant messaging and youtubing world, are we taking instant gratification a little too far? If he doesn't get to your pet issue by day 40....chill. It is probably still in his plans right behind STOPPING THE APOCALYPTIC WRECKING OF OUR ECONOMY.

19. Indeed, I don't pay attention to the MSM much
but I see plenty of the posts on here, and I can't believe what I'm seeing much of the time. I think to myself - can they really have forgotten so SOON? 1 month and 3 days and b'sh and his assholedistration are gone FINALLY and the sniping is already constant. It's really disenheartening for me, so I often avoid DU almost as much as I do the MSM.

Your question "WTF am I doing...." is a very good one. Of course people then argue that "oh, now we should all walk in lockstep just like the repukes?" and other silly bullshit that has nothing at all to do with the fact that we have a brand new President who has taken on a huge job, and could use some support and assistance to accomplish the things we elected him to accomplish.

All I know is - for myself I mostly stay away from all the negative bullshit, appreciate all the good that Obama has already tried to do, look forward to the days to come, and be proud to have a President who is a leader. The bar was so very low, and yet we were lucky enough to choose someone who I think will raise the bar pretty high. My glass is half full!

15. Cable "News" isn't, it's cable "Opinion" and it's generally wrong or sexed up to fill
the 24/7 cycle.

I used to love to watch KO, i can't even do that anymore, 2 newspapers, BBC America and Cash cab.
