Howard Dean on Chris Matthews
Wow, I was so pleased. At the end of it, Chris told Dean that he wanted him to be HHS and Dr. Dean was beaming. Chris said that he deserved it for all he did for the party.

I've been kinda pesty with the White House....

..in different emails, told the President that he was the brains of the party, but Howard Dean was the heart,

..told Michelle Obama to go past Rahm and tell her husband that many many people at DU want Dr. Dean - whether or not she visited us, who knows..

..when I got a picture of Obama & Biden from the DNC and a request for donation, I sent back the form donationless and told them that I no longer supported the DNC because Dr. Dean wasn't part of the cabinet..

Canceled my DNC monthly donation and told them that when Dean was made something in the cabinet, I would start to contribute again..

sent emails to Chris Matthews many times when he had Dean on and thanked him...yes, I've been a pest. Will send Matthews another thankful post now.

Hope it paid off, just a little.

Oh, Dean will probably be on Crossfire again later on...when they repeat.

Oh, and, yeah, Tweety is an idiot.

I wanted Howard Dean to be picked for HHS, too.

But I think the position you are taking is extreme and unwarranted.

Basically, you are dropping out of supporting the Democratic party because someoone you wanted wasn't chosen.

That's overboard.

10. I disagree.
We have done the same thing for several reasons. There is no need now to donate monthly like we did. The DNC is basically handling the Obama mailing list and pushing to get his issues passed...a worthy goal.

But they don't need our money right now, and we only continue donating to those candidates we choose.

We donated to the DNC to support Dean's idea of building the party outside of DC.

13. As soon as election fever starts again, if I'm alive, I will sign up.again.
I have to be part of it in aome way, no matter how small.

But I felt that money talks loud and saves my voice besides.

12. Usually in other circumstances "supporters" don't have to go to extremes to be heard!

When the grass roots core of this party continues to be ignored, then YES, at times maybe some DO have to go to extremes to be heard, and I can't fault them for doing that. That's part of activism. If Obama doesn't like that sort of image of a split party building up, then HE should do something about it and get more progressive voices in his cabinet and the administration! I guarantee you, if he appoints Howard Dean as HHS that many you feel are getting extreme in their viewpoint in actions would be very much on board with helping Obama out later.

You pat my back, then I'll ...

You kick me in the ass, the I'll ...

Not too hard to figure out...

17. Well, I was getting desperate when I sent those emails
My God, they were talking Jennifer Granholm for HHS - one of the creators of the MI primary . . . I care about health care too much.

15. Not sure of the ratio, but I heard somewhere that for every
letter/email/phone call they get, they figure that it represents 200 people with the same view. The ratio may have changed by now, and I cannot back up this comment with a web site. Maybe somebody knows...

4. DNC has no control of cabinet positions
"Canceled my DNC monthly donation and told them that when Dean was made something in the cabinet, I would start to contribute again.."

Seems like this would just result in more Republicans being elected.

However yes Dean would be good in HHS.

5. Chris also said: " Mr. President, if you're watching, here is your man." (for HHS)
So glad to hear him say that about Dr. Dean. This man would be what we need to push for expanding Medicare to all.
