5. I was, and I also found this story extremely difficult to believe.

Everyone with anything that floated was out rescuing people way before any government officials got involved. I never heard anything about this story nor did I witness any bureaucratic interference with the rescue efforts by boats. And if Jindal was anywhere in the area, we sure didn't know anything about it. In fact, I don't recall hearing a peep from him, even though this was his district. No one was getting in.

So the Republican governors who are refusing the unemployment benefits are playing a very risky game. How is it going to work out for them when people find out benefits were cut off because their governors refused the funds? I guess they figure that these citizens will end up living in a cardboard box so they will have no address to list when election/voting time comes around.
