asking stupid questions about health care.. She just asked..what if ppl don't want heatlh care??/ which the other senior analyst response was.. i haven't met one person yet who doesn't want to have health care..

he is the "Leader" is the only one who goes on Television.

Why do you think Dems have trouble and often get beaten?

They do no put themselves out there and commit to anything.

This gives the GOP full reign on Television. Television is
where most Americans get their information.

I think Democrats think they can safely keep their seat in
Congress if no one ever sees or hears them on TV. They think
avoiding controversy is better for them. I disagree, but
that is one person's opinion.

11. They've been there - but none of them can get the media Obama does

Obama is incredibly good speaking directly to the American public - and THEY LIKE him to do so! It is mostly pro-republican pundits who have raised the concern that he is talking to the public too much. However, his approval ratings have sky rocketed from a high level to begin with since he did it.

The fact is that people still speak of FDR's radio addresses. I remember hearing older relatives speak of them - they reassured people in a scary time. This is a scary time and in Obama, we have an exceedingly articulate, personable and charming President. Since he took office, he has grown to be a figure that many trust more than when he ran.

12. I think he needs other spokesmen out there. Because the more you see him

it diminishes the impact of when he has a very important announcement or speech.

Particularly on the economy, where is Geitner?

I have seen many Senators, Kerry, McGaskill, klobichar were all very good on the stimulus issue. Biden is someone they have used as well. Geitner likely will be out there - but his major speech was not well received - so they may feel he is better off behind the scenes.

For an important speech/announcement they can bring all the pageantry of the President behind him.

every hour compared to an occasional Democrat.

There are many Republican Spokesmen--all with one message.
This can be impactful.
