DU this poll
Dr. Orly Taitz is having her Cavity Creeps freep this military.com poll on Lt. Easterling and his stated refusal to follow President Obama's orders. (Taitz is Easterling's attorney)

http://www.military.com/hp/poll?poll=4181

"Should a Soldier serve if he doesn't believe the president is legitimate?

1) Yes, a Soldier takes an oath to serve the nation and President Obama was duly elected. 1st Lt. Easterling is just trying to get publicity and he should be court martialed.

2) If a Soldier in good conscience does not believe the president is constitutionally eligible to serve, he should not execute his duties and is right to protest the president's orders.

3) Easterling should continue to honor the dignity of his men by executing his orders as given. He should pursue other avenues to challenge the legitimacy of the president."

7. Basically....
Having a hissy fit because he doesn't believe that Obama is a citizen, and is being "helped" by a California dentist with JD from an on-line law school who has a serious hatred of Muslims and anything she thinks is one. (a few weeks ago she called her critics a bunch of "Nazis, Communists and Radical Muslims")

4. Idiots like Eastling have no problem when in violation of the Constitution
the dancing supremes appoints our president by stopping the fair counting of votes. Instead they get their panties in a bunch over fake stories about fake birth certificates. And the idiots go marching on.

13. I know none of us gives credence to Glenn Beck but he is pushing this too!
I heard him a couple of nights ago on his Fox News show ask 2 Military Specialists about the Military turning on the Administration if they thought the Administration was trying to "socialize" the government. I really think these people are mentally ill and are pushing what Glenn Greenwald wrote about a Civil War that is being discussed on Fox News Network! I kid you not!

Glenn Greenwald

Fox News "war games" the coming civil war

(updated)

http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/02/22/militias/index.html

(snip)

That's the context for this Glenn Beck "War Games" show on Fox News this week -- one promoted, with some mild and obligatory caveats, by Michelle Malkin's Hot Air. In the segment below, he convened a panel that includes former CIA officer Michael Scheuer and Ret. U.S. Army Sgt. Major Tim Strong. They discuss a coming "civil war" led by American "Bubba" militias -- Beck says he "believes we're on this road" -- and they contemplate whether the U.S. military would follow the President's orders to subdue civil unrest or would instead join with "the people" in defense of their Constitutional rights against the Government (they agree that the U.S. military would be with "the people"):

...............

Amazing this kind of talk can be done on our TV screens without any retribution in the name of "free speech"!

Both 1 and 3 require the Soldier to do their duty and obey the proper chain of command.
I would have some respect, if acting as a civvy and not quoting his position in the army he chose to bring a case, but that is not what he has done. The Soldier can of course have an opinion about the President, but calling him an usurper, and using his military voice to do so, means that he is bringing the army in to disrepute.

20. Bad poll. Splits the sane vote (options 1 and 3) and concentrates the insane vote (option 2).
Done, for what it's worth.
