1. Most American's are waking up to the fact that the last administration
has us royally screwed. He's doing a great job with what he's inherited.

4. I think they already woke up. I think the rise in his poll numbers is due to him
getting the FACTS out Tuesday night as well as how strong his speech was overall.

10. Just that? I think we can also thank Bobby Jindal for his excellent response.

2. It's his speech bump. The 2 percenters will be working hard to
bring him back down in the polls.

In fact, they will be working overtime, and they will succeed to some degree, because afterall, they've got the media working for them overtime.

7. Yeah, I know...
and the media is pushing the LIBERAL meme that he "broke his promise" by now possibly having combat troops out of Iraq in 19 months instead of 16. :eyes:

13. CNBC is approaching a melt down!!
They were ranting, slobbering and in complete shock at what is in the President's budget. Basicly making less sense than ever.

Obama needs to be out there daily letting people know the happenings. He is cutting the legs from under the corps., banks, etc., ya know, those that have been running our country.

19. LOL @ "speech bump"
like it's an obligatory thing ...... like a party convention does for the Presidential nominee.

I doubt Bush ever had a "speech bump." ;)

Tomorrow should be even higher .... and then it will time for the weekend slump that we go through. Then next Tuesday Fox will be shouting how "his poll numbers and sliding! He's down to 65% He's doomed I tell you! They're turning on him!."

sigh ...... fun aint it?

6. Yes and the lovely MSM refuses to have equal time with Dems
and yet, the President and Dem Party is STILL more trusted and well liked then the Repukes. They can't fight the public's will.

21. Perhaps we shouldn't mess with a winning formula. The President
and the Dems in Congress have fairly decent approval ratings compared to the opposition, even with the Repubs on every media outlet tearing into him 24/7. I think the more exposure the nutjobs get in the media, the more the American people distrust them.

There was a poll out last week that said a clear majority of the American people feel that the Repubs are playing politics with the economy, while the POTUS got huge ratings for trying to be bipartisan.

24. the dems don't need equal time
and besides, they're too busy fixing the problems the rethugs created.

Just let the rethugs keep going out there sounding as stupid as they are. That alone is enough to keep pulling wool off the eyes of the few sheeple left with wool on them.

20. I wish he would speak to Congress every week.....
... like the British PM does. He could make a speech .... they could yell at him and he would tare them to shreds with verbal paring the likes of which we've never seen. Then we'd all sit around here and make fun at the latest GOP foolishness.

If only.

18. To Pat Buchanan's credit, he predicted Obama's poll numbers would go up 6 points after his
impressive non-SOTU speech.

22. Pat Buchanan is a racist, xenophobic a..hole, but he seemingly has always
been impressed with Obama's ablity to connect. He clearly doesn't agree with him, but Pat usually gives Obama his props after one of his speeches.

23. That's pretty much the ceiling, right? That 21% is the same percentage
that Bush plummeted to at his lowest, no? Good times. :)
