He and his advisors are smart. They know that the media is in the tank for the Repukes, and that everything they say will go through a right-wing filter.

What's the way to get through the right-wing filter? Go directly to the people. Hold town halls, and the media will be forced to follow around the president and tape everything he says. That way, you can avoid the dumb ass talking heads who will try everything in their power to get the Repukes back in the Oval Office by 2012 and back in control of Congress by 2010.

The upcoming 4 years need to be a battle of President Obama and the America people vs. the right-wing media and their lies.

The Republicans have won the media battle for far too long. It's time for the Democrats to fight back, and implement some long lasting reforms that will give the public airwaves back to the people (breaking up the media trusts). It is the only way to build a lasting Democratic (and liberal) majority.

And yes, the Republicans will complain that Obama is in a constant campaign mode, but once again, they would be lying, and that is no surprise. We just need to ignore them.
