I guess at least they are consistent in their bigoted stupidity. Their posters were claiming that Jindal was not natural born, and one claimed that because Jindal did not quote God enough, it makes him a dangerous "humanist". Hmm. Not a phrase I would associate with the GOP.

Not really a surprise given that NoQuarter readers have been posting death threats about the President, plans for an armed insurrection and linking to videos from white supremacists. As it is a PUMA movement, I guess the Secret Service do not have to worry. I can think of no group in history that has generated as much FAIL so consistently.

Anyway all of that is surpassed by the stupid of the day. This once Democratic supporter, now rails on about how the "far left" attacked Nancy Reagan for her outfits but nothing is said of Michelle Obama getting free outfits.

What these stupid of stupids will never get, primarily for one reason is that Michelle Obama is a very attractive, slim, relatively young mother, who because her husband will be on TV a lot over the next 4 to 8 years will also find herself on tv. And I feel the need to remind these blathering bigots, Michelle Obama will be on newspapers and tv sets around the World. (That not flat thing that is billions not thousands of years old). There is no "First Lady" role, but EVERY single one since and including Kennedy has worked with the American fashion industry to promote American fashion. That is what she is doing.

This is not hypocrisy of the left. Nancy Reagan revealed herself that she had accepted thousands of dollars in clothing, jewellery, and other gifts. She said she was promoting the American fashion industry. Nancy Reagan said she would not accept such loans.

She lied. She continued to borrow and keep designer clothes throughout her time as First Lady. She took gifts worth $3 million and did not report them. $3 million back in the 80s. The fashion houses she promoted however however did well. It got the American outfits on tv. America could make fashion that matched that of Italy. One of the roles of the First Lady. All well and good, but the non-reporting of more gifts of clothes and jewellery worth more than $10,000 was a violation of the Ethics in Government Act.

It's a silly article because First Ladies are always offered outfits on loan and they do much to promote American designers. There is no problem with this practice unless they don't return the clothes or pay for them if they choose to keep them.
