...because the truth in the matter is, not enough American people care what did or didn't happen in Guantanamo and abroad. If there was a nationwide outcry about this, then yes, they would be jailed post haste. But let's face it--too much of the country is so blinded by nationalism and bloodlust that they would see this move ONLY as partisanship, nothing more. Outside of this and other liberal spheres of influence, they simply don't care.
And don't even tell me--oh, we voted for change, so isn't that enough? 53% of the country, the 53% who voted Barack into office--don't they want this to happen? Sadly, it's way less than that. For example. a Gallup poll from February had a criminal investigation for the bushies at only 38%. 24% merely wanted an "investigation," which I believe is ongoing. The rest want neither.

I've been wanting to talk about this for a while, although I knew it would be unpopular. But there it is--Obama IS listening to the people. It's the people who are being apathetic--the only thing Obama is guilty of is not doing something that would be immensely unpopular. He's guilty of not wanting to burn up all his political capital within his first 100 days in office.
In a way, it's the American people that deserve to be yelled at.
