9. This right here is one of the main reasons we have someone like Rahm Emanuel
as chief of staff. Love him, hate him, or whatever, but you cannot disagree with the assertion that Rahm isn't afraid of the Senate GOP and won't hesitate to show his fangs on this.

And rarely, VERY rarely, is a Supreme Court nominee battle lost. Bork was up against a Democratic congress as a far right ideologue, and Miers was shouted down by her own party.

We have control of the Senate, the House, and the Presidency.

Obama has the absolute right to nominate his ideal judge right now--probably more than any time during his presidency.
