I have kind of lost touch, but with Specter switching, are they working on LIEberman?

IMO for the very same reason for Specter's "conversion," to hook onto the teat of the Democratic Party machine and coffers.

and like it or not, he's much more of a dem than specter when it comes to domestic issues. My guess is he'll be on board for healthcare reform including a public option. specter won't.

It's hard to imagine that even the Repugs would want him, given that he's pro-choice. They seem to be all about party purity these days.

I'm sure they'd run rw primary candidates up against Snowe and Collins if there were enough far right loons in Maine to make a difference.

5. Doubtful. Aside from being a little rat and a hawk, Lieberman is still very much a liberal.

No one can deny his voting record. There is no room in the Republican party for someone as to the left as Lieberman is.

7. I'm hoping that we can come up with a really good candidate in

12 and finally primary him the hell out. We have some good Dems here in CT - Lamont, Blumenthal, Bysiewicz. We did it once but the SOB played dirty and got the repub vote ( go figure). He got fined last week for some of his dirty tricks.
