Democrats deserve some credit for the dire situation the GOP finds itself in...

I've read a few polls asking who was responsible for the demise of the GOP. While I'd put the blame with Georgie for the most part in this regard, democrats do deserve some credit.

It was after all the democrats who fought for nothing and allowed the GOP to win every battle, which eventually hung the Pubs out to dry. Although there are several battles I wish they had fought harder on, they did in the end force the Pubs out onto a limb, one they are not likely getting down from anytime soon.

Thank GOD for Fox News and other conservative pundits to keep the RWers extreme into the future. What moderate voter is going to want to be associated with the group of nutballs.

So in this way, though in few others, democrats showed leadership and vision and do deserve some credit.

1. I was ready to challenge you until I read your post

I doubt that any Dem other than Obama would have thought of such a rope a dope plan, but intentionally or not they did pretty much fold like a cheap umbrella and let the pubs have their way which they promptly turned into a cluster fuck. Besides I like your dog.

It is more important to look at un strategies ' the stand ups.

3. Yep- dry powder Dems let Republicans be Republicans

and they hit the trifecta:

Disastrous 2+ trillion dollar wars;

Environmental catastrophe, resulting in the destruction of a major city;

Devastating economic crash.

Even then it took the most inept Republican campaign since Goldwater- and Palin's unprecedented stupidity to finally seal the deal.
