Here's the entire exchange:

"Q: With your departure from the Republican Party, there are no more Jewish Republicans in the Senate. Do you care about that?

Specter: I sure do. There’s still time for the Minnesota courts to do justice and declare Norm Coleman the winner."

This *could* be him delivering a rather lame punchline around the preceding question. Justice = More Jewish Senators.

The Dems shot themselves in he foot with this decision. If Specter lost his primary a rightwing Republican would have ran for his seat and it was possible a Democrat would have defeated him. Now they are stuck with a disloyal (to both parties) pain in the ass that should have retired years ago. He is not a sure vote on most of the Dems agendas and now he's backing a Republican over a Democrat. Arlen, you are no longer a Repup and it's time you realize that if you can, if not retire.
