What the hell am I watching on Hardball?!

There seems to be an idiot...but there was reverse discrimination underneath their names...but I don't know what I'm watching. They can't understand the questions...then a lady just said there was a "fracture in the African American community" in relation to those against supporters of the move.

Apparently some exam was thrown out because there was not enough minority people applying for this exam.

Now the NAACP has been called in...I don't get it.

3. White firefighters

are suing the city of New Haven for not being promoted after they took an exam to become officers because the city of New Haven threw them out. Supposedly when not enough minorities (and no African Americans) did well enough on the exam to be promoted, the city found the exam to be discriminatory, but the firefighters are challenging that it was not.

The ruling on the whether to throw out the exam was 2-2, with there being some politics behind it as well supposedly. Lots of stuff still isn't clear and the test is "sealed" so we don't know what parts were found to be discriminatory, if any, or why.

I don't know the idiot you are talking about, except for maybe Chris Matthews ;-)

15. The politics in this are awful. Mayor DeStefano did not do his job.

He was greatly in the back pocket of a disreputable "community" leader. The test had never been used before and the mayor refused to have it "tested" for race bias before using it.

This is a horrible, horrible case upon which to hang the fate of affirmative action.

As a result of this and instances of union busting, I am no longer a supporter of Mayor DeStefano. I have supported him for all of his bids for mayor and his bid in 06 for governor. Never again. I am voting for the Green Party candidate for mayor in this year's election.

Tweety asked some really dumb questions. Like, what they thought other people's motives were. It's funny because Tweety always says he never questions other's motives. It was a fragmented and incoherent interview, not unlike this post. Tweet is usually better. The Tom Ridge interview was great.
