Spring 2009 Commencement Addresses

President Barack Obama to Deliver Spring 2009 Commencement Addresses:

President Obama will serve as commencement speaker at Arizona State University, the University of Notre Dame, and the United States Naval Academy this year. President Obama will address graduates, family members, and faculty at Arizona State University on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, the University of Notre Dame on Sunday, May 17, 2009, and the United States Naval Academy on Friday, May 22, 2009. Arizona State University announced Saturday it would name the school's largest scholarship program for President Obama following a firestorm over whether the president would get an honorary degree.

First Lady Michelle Obama to Deliver Commencement Addresses:

First Lady Michelle Obama will serve as commencement speaker at two graduations this year. Mrs. Obama will give the commencement speech to high school graduates of Washington Mathematics Science Technology Public Charter, in Washington D.C. She will also deliver the commencement speech to University of California, Merced’s first full senior class – the University opened in 2005. UC Merced students actively sought out the First Lady as commencement speaker by writing letters to Mrs. Obama, her office, and her friends and family. Mrs. Obama will address graduates, family members, and faculty at Washington Math and Science Technical High School on June 3, 2009, and the University of California, Merced on May 16, 2009.

Vice President Joe Biden will serve as commencement speaker at Syracuse University, Wake Forest University, and the United States Air Force Academy this year. Vice President Biden will address graduates, family members, and faculty at Syracuse University on Sunday, May 10, 2009, Wake Forest University on Monday, May 18, 2009, and the United States Air Force Academy on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.

5. I'm graduating from ASU. I would rather he not take such stupid advice.
Some of us ASU students are overjoyed that he will be there.

Don't paint us all with one broad brush.
