In typical fashion, the President didn't let that affect the power of his address.

Obama used the denial of the degreee to give a great address encouraging each and every student to build a body of work to nurture others, repair communities and repair our nation. It was wonderful and seemed to be well received.

The President's speeches are always so timely and meaningful.

He said it so well--to strive to make a difference, instead of earning "gold stars" and a lot of money. Work for a non-profit,
teach children from impoverished neighborhoods, work for free clinics.

I loved it when he said, "Find someone to be successful for". Isn't that so amazing???????????

I'm still contemplating the beauty of that statement.

We should all do something successful with our lives that will make a difference--for the planet, for a child, for a neighborhood.

frequently confined to small areas that it was often uncomfortable.

ASU did not plan the event well at all, even apart from the honorary degree fiasco.

I didn't notice many protesters, and those I did notice were not very disruptive.
