Richard Wolffe (on KO): "THE TRAP WAS SET YEARS AGO"
According to him those CIA briefings were intentionally vague and purposely held just for this moment ~ so Dems could be blamed too.

My question remains: What are Obama and Congressional Dems waiting for?? SPECIAL PROSECUTOR ASAP

3.  From being on DU
for so long..I swear there's been a lot of writings over the years on different issues where the repubs could set it up and "blame the Dems".

It's not freaking hard to imagine..and I hope Nancy has the stamina and the gravitas to turn it around and destroy them.

5. The IC law is dead....
...so while she could legislatively create the latter, she could only ask for the former.

12. She does. This was s set up from the Dems from the beginning to me.
Remember when she said..."Take immunity off the table!" For her to say that said to me she was opening the door for backlash. Then she said something along the lines of, "They always come after me, I'm used to it." She's been ready for it and I think she's getting prepped in this. Dude when I look at Pelosi, I think she considers herself Obama's surrogate. So she's ready for anything and this whole thing looks like a well hashed set up to take out the Repubs and make them look bad. To have Bob Graham already on her corner she's opening the doors. I think this might be setting up the stage to have Bob Graham maybe come back into the game---which could be interesting. This whole thing is spinning out of the hands of Repubs and even the CIA and the Pres and his crew got this shit down.

8. Ask Eric Holder..
there have been numerous requests for him to appoint a Special Prosecutor. I believe it will happen. I don't know why it isn't RIGHT NOW!!!..because I'm not that smart. I'm sure there are plenty of posters here that can tell you exactly what is going on, who is thinking what and why. I even read it's all Rahm Emanuel's doing. I do know my Congressman is involved in investigations..but that obviously is of no concern to anyone.

17. Do you think timing
is a factor? I know that Holder has been in place for a long time now, but I would think there would be a big pile of shit left over from the Bush administration. Does that matter? Is there a reason why it has to be done right now? Is there any benefit to waiting until the public is more in favor of prosecution? Has Dawn Johnsen been confirmed yet? How do you think these investigations are coordinated with the investigation that my Congressman is involved in. Does that matter?

10. HELL NO!! NOT ASAP!!!
AG Holder is gathering the information and making sure their case is air tight. You don't jump on this special prosecutor and get bloody no where. We want to go in to win right?! then we do this right...NOT ASAP

15. Not until our AG
decides this should go there. The AG is making the moves and I don't mind this. In any event, everyone said the AG has the right to start the motions and then advise the president. Further more, if the special panel was to be set up that doesn't have to be with the President or the AG...they could start that shit now.

20. Yes, it was set. But still, the Rethugs came up with the idea to torture in the first place.
And they are actually admitting they torture now. It was not torture before but it is now but its okay cause Nance new and so did a bunch of other Dems. Its like, so what? (to quote Dick Cheney).

24. I agree wholeheartedly. They have attacked the Dems long enough. Its good
to see Nancy standing up for herself but it took years. I guess she was tired of being a wimp.
