How many times was Ali Soufan's name mentioned today vs. Nancy Pelosi's name?
Ali Soufan is the former FBI interrogator who testified under oath Wednesday that when he interrogated Abu Zubaydah, he only gave valuable information under non-threatening methods. Despite Cheney's claims that Abu Zubaydah gave up valuable information only when WATERBOARDED, the opposite was actually true. But not one word about that was discussed on any of the morning shows. It was all about what Nancy Pelosi knew and when she knew it. :eyes:

1. That is why I almost took off a nail reaching for the remote to get
that ass John King off my teevee. How in the hell did Nancy become the top figure where torture is concerned? This shit is ridiculous.

2. And it wasn't just him, even though he asked every single guest what they thought
about Nancy Pelosi. Who CARES what Pelosi knew and when? That's not the point! The media really should be ashamed of themselves.

5. I have given in to the fact
that John King's show is the "State of the Bash Obama Union". He is just a rightwing talking point. I have written in to CNN and I have given up. So the right wing is basically admitting that they tortured but the only important issue is if Nancy Pelosi is lying about when she was told, makes no sense what so ever.

3. Today I finally shut off CNN. I can't
believe the people they hire are not illiterate, bonkers, and stupid. I had already written off Meet the Press and CBS' Schieffer. The Bush administration was full of murderers of U.S. military and Iraqi citizens. Iraqis lost their country--not through Sadam Hussein--but through our lies. The Bushies have so much blood on their hands they will never come clean, and we can't rely on anyone anymore to get the truth.

6. Equally interesting is how often Soufan's name is in a DU OP thread versus that of Pelosi...
It is not only the media that is ignoring Soufan's VERY KEY testimony, many DUers (not including you and the few who have tried, sadly unsuccessfully, to bring it to the forefront) are also, imo, focused on the distraction that is Pelosi instead of this very important subject.

7. Agreed...
Yes, I've posted more than one thread on this subject and they sink like rocks. I guess too many DUers are more interested in what the media TELLS them to be interested in.

8. Authoritarianism=patriotism
This is the mentality that made Bush into a hero for doing nothing while people were murdered on 9/11.
