I am so fucking tired of CNN's reporting on the very few rather than on the many, and rather than on the great speech President Obama just gave, until I am seething! My husbands laughed at my being pissed, and simply countered, "this is what CNN does!" That just pissed me off some more, and I asked......"but where were they, when I was Marching against IRAQ? I had to catch that footage of protests as reported on C-Span."

In other words, CNN Sucks BIG TIME, and will not in anyway ever be a catalyst in bettering or uniting this country in any way, shape or form. I give up on them utterly, and the only way that they are better than those hate groups, is that CNN at least pretends to be fair, when they are anything but. I now Pray that there is something that President Obama finds in the way of the FCC to force channels calling themselves CNN a better representation of the truth, as opposed to what they do now, which is to make it up.

As for President Obama's speech, this was one of his best. Of course, one has to arrive at that conclusion on one's own, because CNN certainly ain't gonna ever conclude or concur on that kind of a reality, only in the attempt to make news via their made-up bullshit.

It leaves me wanting to get a sign protesting their sorry asses and see if that gets me some coverage from them. In fact, we should all do that.

14. I love Boomers. Unfortunately my parents are Boomer conservatives.

I think the Boomers are split down the middle. Gen X is not much different. Only Gen Y really seems to be extremely liberal and that is the impact of growing up with Bush.
As a 33 year old I have many, many friends who are much older then me. And younger as well. I think its good to befriend all different types of people from every walk of life (age, race, gender).

3. FrenchieCat, I marched against war in 2003 with hundreds of thousands, and we were on page A7.

We were absolutely right, and Judith Miller's reporting, and the Washington Post editorial page, trumped our voices.

I will go to my grave regretting I did not do more, but at least I stood up. As I did against the Vietnam War.

I truly believe Iraq was (is) worse.

5. It was a damn shame, how the media marched us off to war

as though it was a video game.

I remember not being able to watch as they advertised the great "shock and awe"! I was simply dejected....just like I had been watching Election 2000 debacle as the media cheered on the coup on our democracy.

Also, sadly, I notice that CNN use the Black Anchors on the week-end to their end; to spew their propaganda. Hope those being used are proud of themselves, because they will be the only ones.

I have had the privilege of watching this online. No filter.

I was in DC as oft as I could get there. We got nothing.

I could talk about what everyone else has stated more eloquently than I could, regarding the media-- the profits, the rating and that they are not liberal.

What I will say is that I do not want a left OR right media. I want a FAIR media. I want to be able to make my own decision.

I did not watch CNN, I watched online, but I can say that I understand what you are saying. The worst thing that ever happened to news is when it became 'for profit' . News should not be for profit, period.

I watch CNN and MSNBC with a wary eye. They feed the news, I research it afterwards.

I like truth. I like knowing what is real and what is not.

As far as the protests, Frenchie, come on down. I have an Art studio where we can all make signs. We can hop on MARTA and do it!

I was there in DC in 2005 -- The media would NOT pay attention to us.
That said -- I don't see the media ignoring a protest at CNN -- one that is big enough -- (and that is a key point --numbers)

It might sound strange -- but if we were willing to do this, I bet Faux would LOVE to cover something like that. That would put CNN into quite a corner.

Because it seems that most people are swayed by visual media. It him home for me while watching Obama address the troops a couple of months ago. I was at the in laws who watch FAUX almost exclusively. (I think they switch over to CNN for Dobbs) Mother in law walked by as the troops were mobbing Obama and said, "are they protesting him?" WTF! What could explain that other than non stop brainwashing by FAUX.
