Granholm Still on Supreme Court List
WASHINGTON (AP) - Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm is still on the list.

But the White House says President Barack Obama has not started interviewing candidates to succeed Justice David Souter on the Supreme Court.

Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs says he doesn't know if Obama will meet with any candidates when the president spends Memorial Day weekend at the Camp David retreat in Maryland.

1. She'd make a phenomenal justice,

but I'm taking her at her word that she plans to finish her term. We really need her here to finish what she started in turning the state around. This won't be Obama's last appointment. I hope she becomes a justice AFTER she finishes her term in 2010.

4. She doesn't have much term left and she is term limited, plus we could have a Dem incumbent that way

3. I like Jennifer too. I hope she finishes her term and then heads
to the supreme court. Michigan doesn't need a change right now...too much going on in the state.

5. So interesting that
you don't have to be born in the US to be on the SCOTUS.
