Imagine there's no democrats...no Republicans too...Only the deed of ones actions

To judge what's true...

Imagine there's no liberals...

I wonder if you can...

No strawman for the pundits

No sacrifical lambs....

Imagine all the people...judged for what they dooooooo....ohhhh...ohhhh

You may say I am a dreamer...

But, I am not the only one...

Perhaps some day, you will join us...and the world will live as one

Imagines there's no Republicans

No pseudo pious right

No fiscal 'conservatives'

Draining all our might

You may say I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one...Perhaps some day you will join us...

And, the world will live as one...

Imagine policy made the politician

Not the hollywood machine......

No labels to shield or hide one

Just the truth

And, exposure of greed...

You may say I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one...Perhaps some day you will join us...

And, the world will live as one

Immense apologies to John Lennon.

1. I wish deeds and actions and the actual historic record would account for something....
but, it's a hardsell even with many Democrats, unfortunately. Empty words that GET cameras and microphones tend to trump pro-democracy heroes that get muted and ignored.

2. A new set of labels would arise,
Edited on Mon May-18-09 03:48 PM by Occam Bandage
as people would still undoubtedly differ in their beliefs as to how to best solve the problems and adjust the compromises inherent in human society. There's the same error here as there was in Lennon's original: even if you were to strip away everything that appears to cause conflict in modern society, it would do nothing about the root causes of those now-removed proximate causes of conflict, and a new set of proximate causes of conflict would arise.

6. We'd still divide the world into "them" and "us"
If we encounter someone who doesn't share our opinions and/or values, we'd still mentally separate ourselves from them as if they were incomprehensible and therefore threatening.

And when we see groups of them together, it seems doubly threatening. We all do it in one way or another.

Maybe it's hard wired into us somehow for some past evolutionary advantage. I do wish we could evolve OUT of it someday.

4. It sprang from all this bipartisan talk - it dwarfs talk about the issues
