why don't they just say "no picture available", why even risk misinterpretation unless you don't care if it's misinterpreted. The silhouette does suggest Pres. Obama to me too, because he has short hair and prominent ears too. It seems suspect to me.

almost as much as fingerprints. I remember reading in great detail about this once in a book that I read about whether Anastasia was or wasn't Anastasia.

President Obama's ears are such an identifier that most political cartoonists have made that their point of departure when caricaturing him.

Anyway, the ears are certainly reminiscent of President Obama's and I bet people other than you may have made the same link. If someone could find an exact match and superimpose it on MSNBC's picture, they would have some explaining to do.

In light of known things the media has done to Obama - darkening his image in a cover photo, calling an innocent fist bump with his wife a "terrorist fist bump", constantly conflating his name with Osama's, etc. etc., I don't see why your initial OP warrented the amount of ridicule and disdain that was heaped upon it. It may be nothing at all, it may be a "harmless prank" by some producer, or it might be something worse.
