I'm really getting tired of these stores from the Obama's Justice Department
Especially since we know that Bush's goons are still working in that department!

Like this story they had on Raw Story about 'Obama' siding with Bush with the Plame lawsuit. You look at the home page it just says 'Obama sides with Bush officials against outed agent Plame' but click on the article and now it's 'Obama's Administration'

http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/05/21/obama-plame-lawsuit/
Obama administration sides with Bush officials against outed CIA agent

Buried in the article:

Obama’s Justice Department says the Wilsons have no legitimate claim to sue. They also put forward another startling claim.

______________________

Here is where I'm bothered:

#1 What does Obama say about this
#2 Who in the Justice Department said this (it wasn't even Holder)
#3 Who is left from the Bush administration in that department and if they are feeding these articles to the media then can we get them to STFU!

Discuss.

3. Many Here Keep Saying "Give Him Time!" I'm Beginning To Wonder If We
keep "giving him time" how many MORE promises he will break, or if not actually BREAK, fuzz up enough to make others "think" he's following through with what his campaign was all about!

In the beginning I was not a supporter of Obama or Hillary, but when push came to shove I ended up working hard to get him elected. McCain/Palin scared the hell out of me!! Still does and Obama WAS the better choice. But he has begun to turn me off in a way and at a speed I never DREAMED possible!

Sure we see him out EVERYWHERE, doing the nice photo ops, citizens still LOVE him and flock around, but what is really being done??? I realize Obama doesn't make the laws, but he CAN LEAD or use his "bully pulpit" to twist some arms here or there. I just don't see it happening. And I blame the DEMOCRATS as much as I blame him!!! I come here to DU for my news because I simply can't "watch" what the pundits are saying, can't believe how the MEDIA is once again doing what they do best these days... play STUPID!

The few in Congress and in THE MEDIA get little real support and all the while I see more damage being done on a daily basis. I'll leave to others to make a "list" of things we thought we were voting for but now won't be seeing happen. The list is growing.

Glad I have a DISH and all the channels to go with it, it gives me lots of choices to watch movies and other shows I once felt weren't all that important because I wanted to remain politically involved. Now, my stomach stays in knots and I just want to cry. What I wish for is different from what I see, and once again I see "hope" pretty much useless. And I AM truly SORRY that I feel this way. Will there be a time when this will change?? Right now I'd have to say NO! Right now I'm thinking THIRD PARTY, but that's really out of the question, so what do I do?? Call me an ostrich, I should probably just stick my head in the sand... I don't think "we the people" matter much and I don't think "we the people" can really mount any kind of real movement to make our voices heard.

Yes, I sound like a real "waste" but believe me I don't want to feel like I do, I want to BELIEVE!

JMHO!! Scream away!!

4. Here's my 2 cents - when Obama says it I'll believe it comes from Obama
when Justice says it then I'm going to have my doubts.

I think Obama needs to houseclean and find out who from Justice is still doing Bush's dirty work.

Does HE want to?? Who do you think is putting/leaving these people there?? Obama is looking a only FOUR years right now as far as I'm concerned! But then, I'm a LIBERAL and I know what it feels like to loose ALL THE TIME!!!

7. Why give him any time?..
Whenever the subject of using my voice comes up, people tell me it doesn't work so there's no use in trying. Why is that? Is this the best I can hope for? "We the people" sit back and watch tv, and run to the internet to express outrage? How does this help?

9. I've Been A Political Activist Since The Late 60's... I've Worked Very, Very
hard through all those years and didn't sit down and watch TV. I was on the streets, I was talking the talk, walking the walk, so much so my family said ENOUGH!

No, it's not a REAL choice to sit back, but I'm fed up and sick of what I keep seeing over and over and over and over!!

10. I'm fed up and sick of there not being...
any orchestrated attempt to 'change' things. I wish I had the power to do more. I am doubly frustrated because I happen to have representation that consistently votes in the manner I want them to. One has informed me that he is involved in investigations, and for that I am grateful. But then, he is only one person.

16. This paragraph I'm not sure I agree with CREW
(snip)
The Obama administration has gone one step further, suggesting Mr. Wilson failed to provide any evidence that Mr. Cheney, Mr. Rove or Mr. Libby harmed him,” Citizens for Ethics and Responsibility reported on their blog Wednesday. “This is particularly ironic because the government had moved to have the case dismissed before the Wilsons had the opportunity to uncover the details of how Ms. Wilson’s covert identity was revealed
(snip)

I happen to agree with the administration's position here. The degree of backlash toward him from the Bush Administration came directly from his actions. He called bullshit on the administration. He should have expected blowback.

Valerie Wilson is a completely different story. She and all those who worked with her over the years have been irreperably damaged. Her claims are so much stronger than the Ambassador's.

I've been reading Judge Bates's opinion from the last dismissal and the doc's inbedded in the RawStory post. They seemed pretty consistant.
https://ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show_public_doc?2006cv1258-52

What I would like to see is if there has been work done on what appears to be Judge Bates' suggestion as to what would be proper remedies since it was his court's position that they, in essence, really didn't have jurisdiction and that they would be hardpressed to find another court that would claim it. He basically said that Congress should have dealt with this since there was no evidence of any federal statutes being broken.

The very sad irony is that if Fitzgerald would have been able to pierce that wall and been able to get convictions for crimes other than the perjury of Scooter Libby, the civil suit filed by the Wilson's would have brought the Bush Administration down.
