If somebody overheard her in a restaurant opining on gay marriage it's probably not going to be much of an issue for the confirmation. It may be something for the chattering pundits and bloggers but that's going to be about it.

Of course somebody can oppose her based on her personal opinions but it would be nice if people understood them. A lot of shit is about to be said about her that is plain and simple bullshit. I've been reviewing all of her noteworthy rulings this morning and there was no mention of one on gay marriage. As such, I doubt there would be anything on record regarding her stance on it.

That way she can't be bashed by the right if she is personally for it. She may have kep silent on the issue deliberately so as not to appear biased.
