Welcome to the Afrosphere

I started this a couple of months ago and stated that once a month I will post links to the afrosphere to give a different liberal perspective on politics.

For those who don't know Afrosphere is a term that African American bloggers developed in relation to their blogs dealing with concerns of the African American community and experience.

Wiki defines it as:
Afrosphere/Afrospear is a play on the word Blogosphere which relates to all blogs and their interconnections within the African continent. The word Afrosphere has also been used to describe the African American blogosphere and has been reframed as Afrospear.

With the Ca. court ruling and Obama's Supreme Court announcement today, I thought this would be a perfect time. These are blogs that you will probably not see mentioned on mainstream liberal blogs.

but if you visit the black blogs, the majority of them refer to themselves as the afrosphere. The black blogs that deal with the black community that is.
