Kay Bailey Hutchinson is runnng for Governor to do that she has to get by fello repuke and current governor/secessionist Rick Perry, Becuase of th politics and Demographics of Texas Both need to appeal to the base in the primary and Hispanics in the general.

Perry is going to force the issue by coming out against the judge and calling on KBH to "do the right thing" If she takes the bait, she might win the primary but pisses on the shoes of voters she needs in the Fall.

If she doesn't take the bait the base might vote for Perry because "KBH can't be trusted" and "is secretly a Librul"

But either way.....Hispaincs in Texas get more havked off at the GOP and that helps us in statewide and legislative elections throughout the state.

11. That's a little over optistic.

In Texas the 29% are still the majority. In our last cockamamie election there were two Republicans running for governor and together they got 57% of the vote. This might have given the one Democrat running a fair shot (he got 30% of the vote--9 percentage points shy of Perry) except that a wacked up independent celebrity masturbator jumped into the fray and pulled enough votes from the Dems to let the split Republicans still win.

It's very unlikely the Republicans will split their votes again--they won't try and dodge that bullet again.

While the state is about 1/3rd Hispanic, they barely make up on fourth of voter. Amoung Texas Hispanics, there's a lot sympathy for Republic pet wedge issues. It's not a majority. And they're not as loyal to the Democrats as you find in Hispanics in other regions of the country.
