If we ever see that in an ad, it will be a Clark ad. He'll use it to show he's not an old-time partisan hater. He'll use it to show that he, like the vast majority of Americans, stood by the President after 9/11, but that the administration's actions since then have gone to hell.

And why do you think Bush wouldn't run an ad quoting Howard Dean saying "I think he is doing a fine job on the war on the terrorism."?

Howard Dean made a small mistake in referring to the Book of Job as being in the New Testament instead of Old Testament.

Nicholas Kristoff of the NY TIMES op-eds wrote that Dean is therefore "woefully ignorant of Western civilization."

Clark makes verbal mistakes, too, like when talking about Diebold, he thought "Diebold" was the CEO's name instead of the company's name. This wasn't exploited for Kristoff's rightwing viciousness because Clark isn't the frontrunner, but if Clark becomes the frontrunner than rightwingers like Kristoff will engage in such dubious rhetoric against Clark.

Yes, Howard Dean should have been more humble in describing his biblical knowledge, but it's not a big deal.

Regarding his statement that capturing Saddam didn't make us safer, some agree, some disagree, I admit that I don't know the long-term effects of this path vs. various other paths. I wouldn't call Dean's statement on that a "gaffe."

By the way, I've contributing to Kucinich, Edwards, and Clark, and not Dean yet.

It's because of Dean's tax-plan, not his supposed gaffes, though.

If Dean revises his tax-plan to lower the Social Security tax-rate and extend Social Security taxes on all income, I may support him.

In Florida, at the Floridian Democratic Convention, Kerry and Edwards talked about voter-verifiable papaer ballots. I'm not sure if they mentioned Diebold or not, but regardless, they showed concern.

They will outspend him.

There will be not debate. Sorry to rain on the parade of Clark supporters who can't wait to see Clark tear Bush a new one, this will never be allowed to pass.

They will wait for him to start espousing more moderate views than he is now and get him for flip-floping
