Tonight Obama is showing America what a real leader looks and sounds like

I think Obama is doing a brilliant job. I am always amazed at his knowledge and mastery of issues. Could you imagine George Bush or Sarah Palin even attempting to do something like this? The questions are tough and perhaps a bit one-sided, but the President is handling it with cool, calm, precision.

There are other threads here complaining about the questions and format. But I wanted a thread to publicly commend Obama for a job well done.

My local station went to local news at 11pm. But I will catch the rest on Night-line tonight.

It was a real fast hour to me!

5. You may be in luck...

I hate to be a spoiler for you, but the format ran long. And Obama agreed to stay after and continue answering questions. ABC said they would stay, but some affiliates would be going to local news at 11pm EST. That's what happened where I live.

6. Most of us are clear why we want reform to the industry, but a show like this, with industry

interest, highlights the details, areas of disagreement, different groups' priorities, all having to be ameliorated and willing. Easy to say Obama needs to steamroll, but I don't think that's the way to get needed cooperation, to begin making it work.

Now, steamrolling ConservaDems not to obstruct is another story.

in the beginning when Charlie Gibson asked, "How many people think the system needs to be changed?" And everyone RAISED THEIR HAND!
