Lions and tigers and Kerry - oh my (the press conference)
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 02:20 PM by DancingBear
For those of you who think the gloves aren't off - think again. John Kerry, during his just completed press conference, called George W. Bush a buffoon every way but Sunday. He used the words "incompetent", "misleading", "lying", and "living in a world of fantasy" so many times you'd have thought it was a real old good time election fight.

Hot damn - it is. Here's the new strategy, and it's a beaut:

Dear George - we'll fight this one on MY terms, not yours. We'll discuss the REALITY in Iraq, not your Wizard Of Oz version. We'll ask where YOUR plan is to end this carnage, and heaven help you if you try and change the subject.
We're titling this one "The Record of George Bush", and it ain't gonna be pretty.

Everyone says I'm a good closer, George, and by the time I'm through with you you're gonna be saying it too.

Enjoy the show.

11. Kerry should do a press conference at least once a week till Nov.2.
It shows way more fearlessness than Bush and gets his TRUE thoughts out in a way that the press would have difficulty spinning.

4. I loved his 'He's not listening to me'
He took the position that he is the leader and * doesn't know what the f@#% he's doing. By golly he's acting Presidential already. He was good with the press. Very polite and so nice to hear someone actually coherent and intelligent.

5. yep
Flash back to the '92 election ---- remember how Bush Sr. was portrayed as 'out of touch'? IT WORKED (aside from being true).

If he was 'out of touch', this one is halfway to the moon. I'd hit this point hard in EVERY single appearance.

9. i was also thinking no matter what, we ALL know that kerry is the man
going into the election. i thought this before, but he makes it clearer every single day that no matter how this turns out (we are going to win by gum), everyone will know its a literal crime to have bush back in the white house. and the only thing thats going to get him there is the same thing he pulled last time

but i honestly dont think its going to work even if he tries it. if people are at all open, they will definitely vote kerry!

what a past 24 hours though...
God bless the people all around the world who have suffered from bush in so many ways, and God bless the soldiers and families of those who have given their lives in this struggle.

may they find some measure of peace amidst the madness.
we need you senator kerry, and we thank you so very deeply.

8. What I like is
That Bush would pick out something from Kerry's speech and flippantly rebut it the last few weeks. Now if Bush brings up what JFK says he has to bring ridicule and questions down upon himself. If Kerry calls him incompetent how can Bush reiterate that verbatim (or even in paraphrase) without whole scale self-deprecation. Iraq, dead soldiers, billions wasted...
