21. No, Harry actually should go on vacation. Permanently.
It's time to remove that spineless coward and replace him with someone capable of leading the Senate.

18. Found this article... Reid says vote by Sept.
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 12:26 PM by Jennicut
http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2009/07/reid-says-senate-health-care-vote-in-september.html

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid confirmed today that the Senate will not take a vote on a massive health care overhaul proposal before lawmakers return home for the August recess -- meaning a key self-imposed deadline that Congress has been working toward for months will be missed.

"Working with Republicans, one of the things that they asked for...was more time," Reid said during a press conference. "I don't think it's unreasonable." Asked whether it wasn't Democrats who are also seeking more time to digest the complex legislation, Reid said: "Every Democrat wants comprehensive health care reform."

Reid's announcement is not particularly surprising given the drop off in momentum over health care in the past several days, despite President Obama's effort to gin up support for the measure. The Senate's No. 2 Democrat, Dick Durbin of Illinois, told The Hill newspaper this week that a pre-recess vote would not be likely.

Reid said the Senate will come back to the bill when lawmakers return in September. Reid said the Senate Finance Committee, which is seeking a bipartisan compromise on how to pay for the $1 trillion plus cost of health care, will release its version of overhaul bill before the August recess.

36. In his case, it's probably more like "propheting"
Maybe he figures if he fucks over enough people, he'll eventually get to be the President (or "Prophet") of the LDS church, like Willard Romney's daddy was.

And if that's the case, then the sacred Holy hands of Elohim, our Heavenly Father will keep those pianos from dropping on his head :evilfrown:

thus the healthcare reform will be nothing more than a giveaway to and welfare for the insurance companies.

And let the motherfuckers try.

At their peril.

This should be good.

It's apparently not just the Republicans who are trying the 'kill' health care reform.

Ask any orthopedic surgeon and they will tell you that it is not possible to walk normally without a spine. Yet, Reid seems to have full mobility without anything resembing a spine in his body.

30. I don't know
this may give President Obama the bully pulpit to talk about it through the month of August, rallying the citizenry to call their congresspersons and insist they vote for it. It's that "careful what you wish for." What, does Congress think we are going to forget about it?

because they lose their health coverage in August, and can't get good health care.

41. According to Politico (Yes, I Know but I Found this Hilarious)
Rahm was headed to the Hill earlier to meet with Speaker Pelosi and House Dems. However, he'd already called Harry multiple times before getting there.

Now I know that many folks here don't like Rahm but I got tickled by the thought of meek and mild Harry on the recieving end of a Rahm tirade complete with newly made up swear words...

Yeah Harry you suck...
