McCain: Blue Dogs will Cave to Obama and Pelosi, they bark but do not bite!
:wtf:

"This will be the worst time in recent history to raise anybody's taxes." (ap)

Sen. John McCain of Arizona today told Fox News he's not sweating the Blue Dog Democrats, saying they talk a big game but in the end will capitulate to President Barack Obama and Speaker Nancy Pelosi on health care reform.

"I also would be a little careful about the Blue Dogs," McCain told Sean Hannity. "Traditionally and historically, they bark but they don't bite. And in the case of other bills, such as climate change, the speaker peels off enough of them in order to win and gives the other ones a free pass. So I'm not confident that the Blue Dogs will hold fast. In fact, I think it's very likely they cave."

Fighting words! The Blue Dog Coalition is getting loads of attention for members' opposition to elements of the Democratic Party's reform plans -- attention including $$$ from industries hoping to influence the legislation. Efforts by the White House to bring the dogs to heel produced a seven-hour meeting Tuesday night, but no clear results.

If the coalition holds together and sides with Republicans, Obama will lose the health care reform battle.

"Our message is, we Republicans want reform, we're for it," McCain said. "But we also don't want to have a government takeover of the health care system, which is the foot in the door which would be led to. And second of all, we don't want any employer mandates."

You have no idea how much I despise McCain, he must go! He is a total hypocrite. :nuke:

4. If "we Republicans want reform, we're for it"...
Then Senator, please explain to me why Republicans did NOTHING to reform health care when they held Congress AND the White House for 6 years.

Not holding my breath for an answer to that...

5. McCain's idea of reform is Health Savings Accounts and tax your employer-provided health benefits
This would hurt everyone, but the wealthy and his HSA's are a cash cow for insurance companies and a very bad deal for those who buy them.

I would disagree with him that they have a "message", though. I don't see or hear any message. All I hear is "NO!"

Show us YOUR solutions, then get back to us..
