Kent Conrad on the Baucus Committee just said that that he thought that the republicans

on the committee (Snowe, Enzi and Grassley) were sincere about producing a proposal that would be acceptable to the senate. No wonder the progress has stopped. He (and Baucus for sure)trust the republicans! The other democrat on the committee is Jeff Bingaman.
