12. Today's list of hero's
Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama....

and the thousands of people who have jobs in the, White House, the State Department and Secret Service, etc etc who made this happen.

This is a wonderful day for the Democratic Administration...

Now let's hear the Republicans praise this, too!

13. Repugs have already acted like the typical soul-less assholes they are.

Seems this hugely successful humanitarian effort that resulted in breathtaking family reunions is akin to "negotiating with terrorists"...

18. I wonder what Bolton & co make of Ireland...
...as one who was born and raised (bored and braised) in the overwhelmingly drab UK, that conflict was rarely off of the news during my formative years. Both sides would consider the other guilty of terrorism, both had their point and as far as I can tell the shit only stopped hitting the fan when they - wait for it - negotiated with eachother. It's not an ideal, it's a compromise, but - and this is a point people of a particular political viewpoint will never, ever 'get' - it was the only thing to do in order to make a lot of lives less precarious.

Had a certain pig-headed Arizona Republican scaremongered his way into the White House those girls would, at best, be living in squalour in a North Korean prison cell for the next 12 years and global tension would be on the rise with every passing day.

14. What a great day
for the U.S. of A. And while North Korea waaaay overstepped in arresting and imprisoning these young ladies, kudos to them for doing the right thing today. Very, very moving - 140 days of hell now over.
