What is powering Clark? Does anyone wonder why some relatively unknown general with no political experience has vaulted near the top of a field with some very impressive candidates? It's not issues, it's not some unusual charisma, it's not campaign tactics- nothing new in those departments. It's the Clark Arkansas connection. Dean shouldn't have bashed McAulliffe, but that along with Mc's Clinton connection put the DNC in Clark's corner. The DLC has always backed Clark and opposed Dean. I don't think the powers-that-be think Bush can be beaten in 2004- and they want more than anything, Hillary in 2008. A Dean victory in 2004 would remove that possibility. Clark is a stalking horse candidate in the primary and a sacrificial lamb in the general.

Clark came out of the woodwork. If you looked closely at the woodwork he came out of, with a bit of investigation, it looks a lot like Clinton woodwork.

Convenient if Clark gets the nod and appeals to Hillary to give up her senate seat to be VP.

Everything was sunshine and lollipops when Dean was the clear frontrunner, but there's tinfoil hats and conspiracies abound now that Clark's started catching up. First there's a media conspiracy to give Clark the nomination, now Clark is trying to win the nomination and LOSE so he can be VP later?

Does anyone here actually think that people are giving their time and money to Clark so he can beat Dean, just to LOSE, so we can do this all over again in 4 years? I hope not.
