GOP isn't interested in fixing "terribly broken" system just blocking Democratic attempts to do so
Repub Congressman's WSJ op-ed (January):

Perhaps the greatest missed opportunity of the past eight years was the chance for Republicans to fundamentally reform the terribly broken American health-care system. Access to quality health care has long been a professed priority, yet Republicans have been reluctant to tackle the issue.

5. I agree
They want Obama (and by extension, the Democrats) to fail, plain and simple because if he succeeds, THEY will (continue to) fail, as will any further efforts to finish their "pet project" of discrediting and destroying government.

7. They just want to get back in power so they can break more systems
