Protester: "...wash it down with Ted Kennedy's Whiskey."
I was just watching Rachel Maddow's show and she showed a clip of a protester at Dodd's Town Hall meeting and he said the above.

Now I have a question...was Kennedy a drinker? If he wasn't....the first thing that crossed my mind was----Racism towards the Irish. May I call upon the "NIN" laws.

I get the feeling that RM did the whole protester clip for Pat Buchanan's benefit...that ass. Just so he remembers who he is, because those assholes, sure as hell, will never let him forget.

1. Ted was a rather storied drinker
I don't recall when he finally laid it down. Still, a cheap shot is a cheap shot, particularly with him in his present shape.

5. It's a cheap shot,
but it's true that Teddy was a drinker. He and Joan used to be drinkers, she ended up needing treatment.

"Although Kennedy was an accomplished legislator, his personal life was troubled during this time (1980s). His weight fluctuated wildly, he drank heavily at times – although not when it would interfere with his Senate duties – and his cheeks became blotchy. Kennedy later acknowledged, "I went through a lot of difficult times over a period in my life where may have been somewhat of a factor or force." He chased women frequently, and also was in a series of more serious romantic relationships but did not want to commit to anything long-term. He often caroused with fellow Senator Chris Dodd; twice in 1985 they were in drunken incidents in Washington restaurants, with one involving unwelcome physical contact with a waitress."

7. It is bigotry against the Irish, at least the Boston Democratic Irish.
Nixon was drunk every day of his Presidency, yet, for some odd reason, it is never mentioned.

11. Screw Bipartisanship
If they're willing to make remarks like that about a man who's suffering from terminal brain cancer, then to hell with them.

We've got the votes to bury them and pass Health Care without them.
