Public/Private Universities and Public/Private Health Insurance - The Perfect Analogy
To people who cannot wrap their heads around a public option, just make the comparison to Public/Private universities. They both exist, and people can choose which one they want to attend based on their financial condition.

Public universities have not wipe out private ones. Both compete quite well, and both serve a real purpose. UMass/Harvard. Cal/Stanford. UCLA/USC.

1. It was an excellent way of explaining it
Besides, I can't believe the debate is about how the elite might have to give up something for those who have NOTHING!
