Daggett Wins Big Endorsement
The Newark Star-Ledger -- the biggest newspaper in New Jersey -- endorses independent Chris Daggett for governor.

"The newspaper's decision is less a rejection of Gov. Jon Corzine and Republican Chris Christie than a repudiation of the parties they represent, both of which have forfeited any claim to the trust and confidence of the people of New Jersey. They share responsibility for the state's current plight."

1. Who does Daggett take more votes from?
I don't know anything about this person.

2. Nobody is really sure
One poll will say Corzine, and another will say Fatso. The recent polls seem to be suggesting that Daggett hurts Fatso more, but it's all very fluid.

3. Hard to tell
So, far their are more Democrats supporting him than Republicans - but that might reflect Democrats, who do like Corzine - but hate Christie.

But, going forward, I see him taking more of Christie's vote. This is because Republicans are annoyed at Christie being totally vague and Daggett having a plan to lower property taxes. This is the number issue - especially for Republicans. From the small details I have seen of his plan he will appeal more to Republicans than Democrats. (I haven't read his plan in detail, but it sounds like something Ron Paul people would like.
