Two could beat Reid, poll finds
Nevadans say they're ready to replace longtime Democratic incumbent Sen. Harry Reid with an untested Republican.

Which Republican? Undecided.

But of their top two picks -- former GOP party official Sue Lowden and real estate developer Danny Tarkanian -- either one would unseat Reid if the election were held today, according to a poll commissioned by the Review-Journal.

Lowden and Tarkanian are in a statistical tie atop a list of nine primary candidates, according to the survey of Nevada registered voters.

The poll by Washington, D.C.-based Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. shows 23 percent of Republicans favored Lowden to 21 percent for Tarkanian with 44 percent undecided.

4. Unfortunately this is the danger of those blue dog type politicians.
Unless we can find a real progressive who can win in the general election to beat them in the primaries we are going to lose our slim majority altogether.

5. Actually, I won't shed any tears if Reid is beaten, whether by a Republican
or a primary opponent.

He's a weak-kneed puddle of pre-refrigerated Jell-O and should have been replaced long ago.

9. Best player on the Republican team
Not only that- but a cancer in the locker room.

Democrats are FAR better without Milquetoast Reid around.

6. Reid has a huge war chest.
Any primary opponent would be at a very substantial disadvantage in terms of fundraising.

7. I'm optimistic.
If Reid manages to grow a spine over the next year or so, he'd probably be re-elected easily.

That would actually motivate Democrats to show up and vote for him.

10. Don't care about Reid. He was a party in keeping Single Payer off the table
Redi makes Daschle look like a superman.

I would rather have a Senate full of Bernie Sanders, Frankens, and Klobuchars.

And let's not forget my new hero, Kirsten Gillibrand. I love this woman!

13. I'm a big Kirsten fan as well; one of the only bright moments of the Patterson Admin. here
Reid as leader is indeed a nightmare, but we have to keep the GOP number as low as possible. Plus, he's still salvageable.

14. I already donated a modest sum to Kirsten's campaign
while the homophobic Evan Bayh won't get a dime from me, nor the time, nor any kind of help, and he won't get my vote either.
