2. I don't have a caption
but that man has the look of someone who wants another baby. I think he's going to have to wait for grandkids though, but I could be wrong.

4. Well, if Michelle is still in child-bearing years, and the way those two make googly-eyes at one
another all the time, we may have a newborn in the White House.

I bet Michele would be the most stylin' mother-to-be.

17. That didn't
work so well for my father, he ended up with four girls!

I agree with you though, both his and the little boys' faces light up when he talks to them.

36. My mother has told similar stories about my dad.
I have two older sisters and I was the last arrival. When my mother was pregnant with me, he was hoping for a boy because he grew up two sisters as well. And he sheepishly admitted this to mother and she took pleasure in teasing him because his attitude fate would assure that I would be a girl. But I born and as soon as the doc said, "It's a boy!" My mom said my dad practically started doing cartwheels in the hospital room.

Fate does like it's twists because personality-wise, both my sisters are basically smaller, longer-haired versions of my father while I ended up favoring my mother (Abet 14 inches taller and a 120 pounds heavier) :-)

37. my only brother is the 4th of 7. a total disappointment to my dad.
could have something to do with his idea that boys need a good beatin' once in a while to keep them on the straight and narrow. and, oh, yeah, military school. fortunately, none of us turned out to be tooooooo much like him. i am as close as it gets, which might be why nobody talks to me.

which is to say- you want a baby. usually, you don't really want what that baby is going to grow into. or at least, you aren't ready.

23. I've Seen a Lot of Politicians Hold Babies and Children Over the Years
but President Obama just seems to have this way about him that makes babies and children instinctively trust him. Joe Biden has it too.

This little one looks to be at the age where she could get a little twitchy if she doesn't know the person holding her but instead is just happy as can be...

That's what I've always noticed. It's like an invisible curtain comes down all around them for a few seconds. He does the same thing when he gets down to pet dogs. It's always the same.

30. Did they forget the red carpet?
The president is standing on an ordinary floor just like a regular person. The previous inhabitant of the White House always had a carpet rolled out for him to walk on, even outdoors. And this guy looks like he knows how to hold a baby without making it scream - doesn't he know Real Men (TM) don't do that? Actually, it looks like an unposed shot.

It's nice to have a human back in the White House!
