Special Election Silver Lining |
|
In the 2001 equivalent of these elections we won...
VA Gov: Warner (D) 52% - Earley (R) 47%
NJ Gov: McGreevey (D) 56% - Schundler (R) 42%
and then went on to get trounced in the 2002 midterm.
So I wouldn't read too much into what happens on Tuesday.

3. Tuesday doesn't mean anything about next year |
|
Despite how the media spins it.
I think Corzine will hold on. The Republican (or maybe the Conservative) will win in NY. And the R will win in Virginia.
But it ain't because Republiserativsm is making a comeback. :)

Corzine will win In NJ.Christie has gone from double diget lead to a deadheat with Corzine.Remember In NJ Democrats always do better In voting than In Polls.I read somewhere back In 1993 Whitmore was ahead by a large margin but won narrorly.Remember all those times In the last decade Republicans have had egg on their faces regarding NJ.Owens might still win IN NY.Regardless of how a Hoffman win Is spined It could be good for Democrats In the longrun because It turns Republicans Into the teabaggers party. And he Is a Conservative not a Republican no matter what those like Steel.Virginia Is a lost cause for Democrats(In 2009 that Is)and remember the opposite party than who controls the white House wins In Virginia. This Is not a call on Obama. Some state polls In virginia still have majority of voters approving of Obama.
