Everyone complaining about how Barack Obama "sold his soul" to the insurance industry, just remember one thing: the Obama administration (unlike the Clinton administration) is not the one writing the healthcare bill. Barack Obama rufuses to draw a line in the sand, and he is sitting back and letting congress do all the work. Actually, he's not doing anything! Congress is not made up of a bunch of vegan foot-wearing progressives. Despite all the talk about the blue-dog "democrats" being a problem, don't forget that Barack Obama can't pass a bill without the progressives, either. So if the progressives vote for a shitty healthcare bill, it will be their fault, too. It will mean that they didn't fight hard enough, to force Barack Obama to fight harder, and that despite all the rhetoric, they too, are politicians. And, fuck Ed Shultz. Crazy asshole.
